ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE

Our Process

Accepting that you need treatment is a big step and we don’t want to start off by overwhelming you with long procedures and paperwork to fill out. At Legacy Behavioral Healthcare we try to keep the admissions process as simple as possible so that you can focus on what you came to do: heal.

Once you get in touch with us, we’ll carry out an assessment so that we can start treating you as soon as possible. We will take care of nearly everything else, including notifying the people in your life who need to know, contacting insurance companies, and, if needed, police and social services. We’re here for you every step of the way on your journey toward recovery.

REFERRAL REQUIREMENTS

Legacy Healthcare handles each client on a case-by-case basis. If a client is referred to us by an agency as a medically necessary case, Legacy Healthcare executive or clinical director approval is required.

All outside agencies requesting placement for their client will be required to submit a referral packet. Legacy Healthcare will notify the requesting agency within 24 hours after submission to verify receipt. In the event that additional information is required, the requesting agency will be notified within 48 hours of packet submission.

Upon receipt of a completed referral packet, the requesting agency will be notified within 48 hours of our intent to treat. If the case is not approved, the agency will receive a written denial of services. If an individual is found to have behavioral health needs beyond our scope of services; Legacy Healthcare will help locate another agency that can meet the client’s needs.
